“Yaku” means water in Quechua,
the Indigenous language of the Andes in Peru.

Like water,
we flow and transform.

It nurtures, heals, and sustains life.

In this spirit,
we invite you to come back to
the quiet of

your

inner

waters.

behind Yaku

My name is Kari, I'm originally from Peru and have been living in Tasmania for the past five years. My background spans outdoor guiding in Peru and Australia, and over a decade running a sustainable knitwear business that celebrated beauty in raw materials and craftsmanship.

Movement has always been part of my life—through dancing, surfing, or hiking, it’s what grounds me and connects me to nature.

Massage is a new adventure I’ve embraced, and I’m excited to share my passion for bodywork—creating space for you to pause, let go of stress, and melt into a state of deep rest and wellbeing.

I bring my cultural heritage into every session—whether through music infused with the sounds of the Andes in Peru, or the gentle presence of palo santo—making each treatment a unique experience.

I am very grateful and proud to also work as a massage therapist at Pumphouse Point (Lake St Clair) and at Murray St Massage (Hobart).
